“ This is one of those places I've driven by a hundred times, and I always say, "Man, I need to try that place some day." Well, I happened to mention this place to my boss yesterday, and today she commented that we should try it. First impression upon pulling up, their intercom for the ordering menu is down, but let that not be a deterrent. After reading some other reviews about the wait time, I decided to leave earlier to pick up lunch for everyone. I pulled up to the drive-through window and was greeted by a friendly face. She took my order, and unfortunately, the shake machine was down. I made my order and a special request for food preparation. I was told to pull up, and my food would be brought out shortly. I was looking around, and they have a couple of outdoor seating areas, a few arcade games, and a basketball hoop for customers to use. I wasn't expecting this for a small food stand/truck restaurant, and I love how welcoming it felt. My food was out quicker than expected, and the gentleman still apologized for the wait. Everyone raved about the food, I found it quite delicious myself. Excellent flavor, good portion size, and exceptionally reasonable prices considering inflation. Now I wish I would have eaten here one of the many times I've driven by. We have already decided this is going to be one of our new go-to places for lunch. I hope to try the milkshake next time! 10/10, friendly staff, welcoming ambiance, fabulous food, and quite the bargain. ”
“ The best around. Excellent people, fantastic and delicious food done with heart and soul. Can't beat the hours of operation either! We drove well out of our way to get these burgers during reasonable dinner time hours, everything else around us was closed by or before 8pm but we know we can get great food here nearly any time. ”
“ The chicken sandwich was perfection! The Duce Bacon was also perfectly prepared!! The bun, the sauce, the fixings are all perfect adornments! The service though took it to the next level! So friendly and seem to genuinely enjoy what they do and their customers! A must stop for a great bite to eat! ”
“ 5 Stars – Gotcha Burger Hits Like a Taste of Home So I’m a 33-year-old stoner who grew up in California and ended up in Eugene—and Gotcha Burger? Man, it took me straight back. First time I rolled up, I was just tagging along with a homie, not even planning to eat, but the smell caught me like a memory. You know that scent that reminds you of backyard BBQs, late-night food runs, and that one sketchy but amazing burger joint by the beach? Yeah. That. I grabbed the Smash Burger with tots and it was a wrap. Crispy edges, juicy middle, gooey cheese... chef's kiss. The flavor hit like something I hadn’t tasted since I was a kid—simple, bold, and just damn satisfying. The tots were fried right, salty and golden, like the ones I used to sneak from my buddy’s plate at In-N-Out knockoffs back in the day. The vibe of the place is chill and a little funky, kinda like some of those off-the-map joints in SoCal where you find the best food. Staff was hella cool, too—patient with my indecisiveness, didn’t bat an eye when I asked which sauce would hit hardest. They got me my food quick, even though it was poppin’. I’ve been back for the chicken sandwich and a few wild specials—they do not miss. Honestly, eating here feels like reconnecting with a part of my childhood, just with better weed and less curfew stress. If you grew up in Cali and miss that real-deal burger spot energy, Gotcha Burger is the truth. Whether you’re high, hungry, or just homesick—it’ll get you right. ”
“ Overall this is a great burger spot in Eugene. Seems like one of the only places you can get an affordable take out meal these days. There is a little spot to dine in if you'd like to do so. My only complaint is that the parking lot is a little tight but I understand that they're a small place trying to get their footing before upgrading. Sometimes the service can be a little slow but it's worth the wait! One of my favorite spots to grab a burger ”
“ Me and my mom just got burgers, and it was an amazing experience. The staff are patient and kind, and know what they are doing very well. When we got home after getting food, we looked at it, finding that they use actual chicken rather then just some chicken patty on their chicken burgers, and their normal burgers are just as good quality. I love the fries too, not freezer burnt, or overdone like a lot of other places, and they stayed warm all the way home ”
“ I am saddened by the rude comments on this place... it’s a food truck with gnarly, delicious, incredibly affordable burgers and open late and I love it.... She’s perfect. NO NOTES. The people working were super fast, kind, and friendly. And the food is wonderful. Whatever burger sauce they put on the duece with bacon was electric and I’d like to bathe in it. Fries were simple, salty, delicious. 2 major regrets: 1. Should have gotten their godly sauce also on the side for dipping the fries 2. I wish I also got onion rings I will be back. ”
“ Staff are sweet, burgers were good and especially fresh. I don't even really eat burgers like that, let alone meat but I would eat here again with friends. It is an eat in the car type place unless your bringing back home. Nice to see a black business also. ”
